La ventaja de tener un Duvet podría resumirse en tres puntos. Tener un Duvet te va hacer ahorrar tres cosas: Tiempo en atender la cama, por ejemplo, si primero pones una sábana, la cobija (o varias) y luego un edredón se lleva una cierta cantidad de tiempo, a diferencia de un duvet, en el cual solo necesitas el forro del colchón y el duvet cubierto con su cobertor para vestir la cama.
Lo fundamental sería encontrar el grosor adecuado para conseguir el mayor confort y abrigo según la persona. Hoy día muchas personas no cuentan con un personal de servicio, por lo que están conscientes de la necesidad por simplificar el estilo de vida. Un Duvet también ahorra espacio. Muchos ecuatorianos tienen el closet lleno de edredones típicos y cobijas que ocupan gran espacio dentro de la casa, y todas se van acumulando porque es difícil estar comprando constantemente.
Nuestro concepto es cambiar el cobertor y luce nuevo el dormitorio, entonces no es lo mismo guardar 5 duvet-covers, a un montón de edredones. Así las personas aprecian que este producto no ocupa mucho espacio, y la tercera, y casi principal es ahorrar dinero. Lavar un edredón típico cuesta alrededor de unos 4 o 5 dólares, y es algo que tienes que hacer mensualmente durante todo el tiempo que lo tengas, mientras que con un Duvet haces una inversión, no un gasto, porque vas a ir recuperando ese dinero, ya que a futuro no vas a estar gastando en lavanderías. Si es que pasa algún accidente mayor (como mojarse) se puede lavar pero no es algo constante, puede pasar 3 o 4 años antes de lavar, todo depende del cuidado que le de cada persona.
Un duvet brinda confort, es más suave, liviano y cómodo, además de abrigar inmediatamente con una sola capa.
Otras de las diferencias entre estos dos es la higiene. Menos capas significan menos superficies donde haya acumulación de polvo y ácaros. Por lo que mientras menos capas tengamos en el cuerpo para el descanso, tendremos una vida más saludable.
